# Linear

Connect Linear to create workspaces from issues. Link your repository to a Linear team, choose an issue, and Polyscope carries its context into the workspace.

## Connecting Linear

1. Open **Settings** and select **Integrations**.
2. Find **Linear** and click **Connect**.
3. Authorize Polyscope in your browser, then return to the app.

You only need to connect your account once. Next, choose which teams each repository should use.

## Linking a Repository to a Team

1. Open the repository's **more actions** menu (three dots) in the sidebar and select **Settings**.
2. Select **Integrations** and find **Linear Team**.
3. Choose a team from the dropdown. The link is saved immediately.

You can link more than one team to a repository. The issue picker includes issues from all linked teams. Remove a team with its unlink button, or use **Unlink all** to remove every Linear team from that repository.

## Creating a Workspace from an Issue

### From the Sidebar

Open the repository's **more actions** menu and select **From Linear issue**.

### From the New Workspace Screen

Click **New workspace**, choose the linked repository, and click **Linear** under **Work on**.

### Choosing an Issue

Browse recent issues or search by title, description, or issue identifier, such as `DIA-12`. Each result shows the issue identifier, title, status, branch name when available, and priority.

Select an issue to create its workspace. Polyscope uses Linear's branch name when available, links back to the issue, and prepares a prompt with the issue title and description. In Claude terminal mode, that prompt is submitted automatically.
